FacelessHype vs OpusClip compares two tools that solve different problems. OpusClip is best known as a clipper: you give it a long video and it cuts it into Shorts, with a virality score on each clip. FacelessHype makes new faceless Shorts from an idea, with no footage of your own.
OpusClip now also makes new videos with Agent Opus, which shares the same credits, so a price comparison is possible. OpusClip's numbers below come from its pricing page and help center, read on November 1, 2026. Ours are on the pricing page.
The comparison table

OpusClip Starter is $15 for 150 credits, 10 cents a credit. Clipping uses 1 credit per minute of the video you upload. Agent Opus uses 1, 3, 7 or 12 credits a second by mode, per its credits FAQ. The Pro plan is $29 a month for 300 credits, so even there a 30 second Premium video (210 credits) uses most of a month.
Price per video
Clipping your own videos. If you have a one hour podcast, OpusClip turns it into many Shorts for 60 credits, about $6 on Starter. Nothing in FacelessHype does this, so if clipping is your job, OpusClip is the tool.
New Shorts from an idea. Agent Opus Standard is 30 credits for 30 seconds, about $3 on Starter. Its Premium and Ultra modes cost 7 and 12 credits a second and need Pro or Max.
FacelessHype. A 30 second AI photo Short is $0.68 and a 30 second AI video Short, every scene made by Veo 3.1 Lite, is $2.66, on Starter, $19 a month. Starter covers about 27 AI photo Shorts or 7 AI video Shorts a month. On our biggest plan billed yearly, the two are $0.48 and $1.85.
OpusClip Pro credits roll over for 2 months. FacelessHype plan credits do not roll over, credits you buy never expire, and all payments are final.
Which one makes more viral Shorts?
No tool can promise views, and a score is not a promise either. Both tools try to help in their own way.
OpusClip's strength is judging footage: its virality score rates each clip from 0 to 99 on hook, flow, value and trend, and its auto hook adds an opening with animated text and sound. Agent Opus can also match the style of a public video link on Pro and Max.
FacelessHype's strength is picking and writing the idea:
- A viral feed of trending Shorts for each format, each linked to the original post.
- Remix from a link on every plan. Paste a TikTok, YouTube or Instagram link and FacelessHype plans your own version. It never reuses the footage or audio.
- Hook ideas. Five scored opening lines for your topic, before you make anything.
- Trending formats. Fruit dramas, talking objects, history POV and stickman explainers.
Where OpusClip wins
- Clipping long videos. Up to 10 hours in, many scored Shorts out.
- Posting and scheduling to up to 9 networks. FacelessHype does not post for you.
- A virality score for each clip.
- Credits roll over for 2 months on Pro.
Where FacelessHype wins
- No footage needed. Every Short starts from an idea.
- Cheaper new Shorts. $0.68 for 30 seconds of AI photos and $2.66 for AI video, against about $3 for Agent Opus Standard.
- Trend tools on every plan: feed, link remix, hooks and ready formats.
- Long videos up to 50 minutes on Pro and Studio.
