This is what FacelessHype collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Your email address and name, the ideas you type, the videos you make, your plan and credit history, and basic technical logs (browser, IP address, errors) that keep the service running and secure.
Why
To make your videos, bill you correctly, prevent abuse, and fix problems. We do not sell your data.
Who else sees it
The providers that run parts of the service for us: hosting and storage, payments, email, and the AI models that write scripts, make images, animate scenes and voice narration. They process data only to provide that service.
Error reports and product analytics
Two more providers help us find bugs and see which parts of FacelessHype work. Both are reached only through our own address (facelesshype.com), and what they get is cleaned first.
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) receives error reports: what broke, where in our code, the page address without anything after the "?", your browser and system type. Never your email, your name, your ideas or scripts, your cookies or your payment details. Email addresses, keys and payment ids that appear in an error message are removed before it is sent.
- PostHog (PostHog Inc., stored in the EU) receives usage events: pages you open (again without anything after the "?", except campaign tags like utm_source), and steps like signing up, finishing onboarding, making a video, opening a checkout or buying a plan, with the plan, the price and the video length. If you are signed in, events carry a random-looking code made from your account number with a secret key, never your email or name. Your IP address and browser are passed on so PostHog can count visits, then not stored by us.
PostHog stores nothing on your device (no analytics cookies). If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we send no usage events about you at all. We use these tools under our legitimate interest in keeping the service working and improving it, and you can object at any time by writing to us.
Connected accounts
Connecting accounts to post is not available yet. If we add it, this page will say what we store first.
Payments
Card details are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
Your choices
You can download or delete your videos at any time, and ask us to delete your account and its data by writing to support@facelesshype.com. We keep billing records for as long as the law requires.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie and no advertising or analytics cookies.
Google Ads
We advertise on Google. When you sign up or buy a plan, our site tells Google Ads that it happened, so we can see which ads work. We send no name, email or payment details. This runs in Google's consent mode with all storage turned off, so Google sets no cookies on your device, and nothing is sent at all if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Google's own privacy policy covers what Google does with this signal.
If you open an affiliate's link (an address with "?ref=" in it), we also set one cookie of our own, fh_ref, that holds that affiliate's code and the time you opened the link. It lasts 60 days and is used only to credit the affiliate if you sign up or buy a plan. We count the click without storing your IP address. When you sign up or buy, the affiliate's code is saved on your account and with our payment provider. Affiliates see counts and amounts, never your name or email. Without such a link, this cookie is never set.
